Farrel 15.3hh Liver Chestnut, TBx, Mare. DOB 1994

Can you offer a home to Farrel? She is a beautiful thouroughbred mare currently living near Glasgow.

Farrel can be ridden but for light work only, she needs a confident, competant rider as she can sometimes be a bit spooky. She is happy hacking out in company but will hack out alone with a confident, experienced rider.

She has good stable manners but can sometimes become a little stressed if she is left alone. She is easy to handle and good with the farrier and the vet.

Farrel mixes well with other horses and would be able to live out most of the time with suitable rugs and shelter. Ideally, she is looking for a home with knowledge and understanding of thouroughbred type horses.

Her owner would prefer her to stay in Scotland if possible but other areas considered. The right home is paramount.

Tarquin. 15hh ArabxWelsh. DOB 1977. Grey Gelding

Tarquin has been with his owner for 25 years and it is a heartbreaking decision to
have to rehome this much loved special lad. Tarquin has mild arthritis which means he
is now ready to be retired as he can stumble when ridden. The loss of his sharer means
his owner is no longer able to fully care for him due to her own health difficulties.
His owner would be happy to contribute towards his daily costs in a home which can provide
him with the love and care he needs. Tarquin is a really gentle and easy to do in every way
- he is good with the farrier, other horses and children too. He would make an excellent
companion or nanny to other horses and is a real joy to have around. He still has plenty of
life in him which he shows by regularly cavorting in the field! He currently lives out in
the summer and comes in at night in the winter time. If you think you can offer Tarquin
a loving retirement home, preferably in the Surrey, Sussex / Kent areas, please contact the VHW
