Veteran Horse Welfare funds and runs two Rehabilitation Centres which are currently home to over 30 veteran horses and ponies.
Whilst some of these horses will be able to be rehomed once they have completed their rehabilitation, others may never be strong
enough or are simply unable to cope with the change to new homes. These ponies will remain at the Centres for the rest of their
lives. Here, just like any other ponies, they simply adore to be visited, loved and made a fuss of!

The VHW Pony Adoption Scheme allows you to do just that and you’ll soon see that they absolutely love the attention! Your
adoption fee will go directly towards the cost of looking after your nominated ponies which, due to popular demand, are now
available to adopt in pairs.
LILLY & PIPPA

LILLY
- 13.2HH 29
year old liver
chestnut mare. Lilly
had
no contact with
humans for 8 years
before coming to
the centre. Lilly is
totally blind and
manages very well
looking after little
Pippa.
PIPPA - sadly this little Shetland lost her mum in March
2006 (her mum came to the centre with ragwort
poisoning). Pippa thankfully, immediately turned to Lilly
for protection and they have been together ever since.
Bill & Ben

Our resident celebrities. Bill
and Ben are aged 27 and
they once resided at London
Zoo. They are cheeky
chaps and very mischievous
— everybody loves them!
As featured on television, we
think this delightful duo
may be the oldest living
identical brothers.
